Teriyaki Turkey Burger Recipe

This teriyaki turkey burger recipe is delicious! As a matter of fact, I don't even serve it on buns anymore. Let me tell you what happened. We were having these for dinner one night and I didn't want any bread. I think I was going through a "bread is the devil" stage or something.

Anyway, I put my turkey burger patty on top of some peas-n-rice, poured a little teriyaki sauce on top and killed it! It was fork-licking good!

I didn't stop there.

I've even served these burgers with oriental mixed veggies and brown rice. The possibilities are endless! If you're going to just serve the burgers on a bun, be sure to toast the bun first. I don't know about your tastes, but I didn't like mayo on mine. I'd rather use Chinese spicy mustard and top it with lettuce, tomato and purple onions.

Whatever way you prepare it, you're going to love it. This one is a keeper.

Ingredients

1 egg white

1/2 cup dry bread crumbs

1 tablespoon chopped onion

1 teaspoon minced garlic or 1 tsp garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1lb ground turkey

1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce

Instructions

Put all ingredients in large bowl. Mix ingredients together until blended well. Shape into four patties. Cook on electric grill or in skillet until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees. Be sure to flip burger over 1-2 times so that it cooks evenly on both sides.

Serve on buns with teriyaki sauce, mustard, or condiments of choice. Or you can serve the patties with rice or veggies.
