Very Easy Bread Stuffing Recipe
Bread Stuffing Recipe
1 cup butter
3/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup finely chopped green pepper
1 1/2 cups chopped celery (with leaves)
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
9 cups soft bread cubes
2 teaspoons salt
1 1/4 teaspoon ground sage
1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
Add to large skillet; butter, celery, onion, green pepper. Cook until onion is tender and translucent. Remove from heat.
Stir in about 3 cups of bread cubes. Set aside.
In a large bowl, add remaining bread cubes. Add remaining ingredients. Add celery/onion/bread cube mixture to bowl and fold until well mixed.
Stuff turkey just before roasting or bake separately in a large, greased roasting pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Be careful not to overbake your stuffing! It'll get dry and your guests may not like it.
